Emirates welcomes Argentina ahead of Buenos Aires launch

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group, and Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, greet E. Enrique Meyer, Argentina’s Tourism Minister at the Arabian Travel Market 2011.

Emirates recently announced that it will start flights to Argentina’s capital Buenos Aires on 3rd January 2012.

The Dubai-Rio de Janeiro-Buenos Aires service will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft offering 8 First Class Private Suites, 42 lie-flat seats in Business and 304 seats in Economy.

The bellyhold capacity on the 777-300ER will support key imports and exports including perishables, textiles and pharmaceuticals.

Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro will be Emirates' second and third destinations within South America. The airline currently operates a daily service to Sao Paulo, Brazil.
